Nov 2 - Ten-Tom Oxbow

Not a long day of travel and only one lock today, which leaves 2 more before the Gulf.

This anchorage is in the long spillway for the dam and the lock station. Strangely the current changes occasionally and the water rises and lowers about 2 feet once in a while, which we assume is due to the lock filling and lowering and the dam runoff. For this reason we decided to go back to using the stern anchor as we do not want to spin again and snag yet another stump or tree. During the day we had a number of plants and trees float by.

Again we are staying here for 3 nights to time our arrival to Kingfisher Marina on the 5th.

Met up with Leonard and Diane on Greta Lynn again and enjoyed boat cocktails in the afternoon.

Unfortunately there was not very good shore access so took a dingy ride up the spillway to see the dam.
