Today we travelled by the white sands of the islands. Along the Gulf Shores there are many Armed Forces Bases and this restricts access to many of the beaches.
Destin is a very developed tourist town, with a huge Fishing Charter business. It is off season here for most businesses but we were able to get to a town dock and walk their boardwalk. The basin for the town was a nice protected harbour for anchoring.
