Oct 1-2 - Paducah

October 1 was just a short 9 mile day through the lock and to a anchorage at Redstone Landing. We needed to stall a day since our reservation for Paducah wasn't until the 2nd

Paducah town docks are floaters on 70 foot tall piers. This is how high the water can rise on this river. the town itself is walled to prevent flooding like they have had in the past. The wall that is the barrier has lots of painted murals depicting some of the history of Paducah. While here we say the paddle wheel tour boat stop for a day visit.

The big attraction in Paducah is the National Quilt Museum.
