From Charlevoix our next stop is Leland, otherwise known as Fish Town. This quaint little town still has some commercial fishing, and a lot of charter fishing. Right by the waterside are the smoking houses for the fish, along with many shops and food outlets. Starting to meet up with and cross paths with many of the Loopers now that we are headed down the East Shore of Lake Michigan. We also saw the water car taking trips around the Leland\Marina.
The next day was the calmest water yet, and we travelled past the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. The Eastern shore of Lake Michigan is very sandy and quite spectacular. Much to our surprise are the number of houses that are built on the edges of these always eroding sand cliffs.
